As far as a rewarding acting career
goes, Elizabeth Skeen-Stowers
counts her lucky stars every day.
But now the former model turned
actor wants to pay her fortune for-
ward by helping others achieve suc-
cess through her new talent agency,
The Ponsonby-based business
started small, helping her friends
and family who wanted to get into
the acting industry.
It was nurturing those who
didn't know what they were doing.
Having honest integrity with atti-
tude is how I get through it. Every-
one can do this but if you're going to
be dishonest you're not going to
At the end of 2009 she decided
she was happy to continue working
behind the scenes of her beloved
craft and made iBrand People offic-
People will tell you to take the
safe option. But I took a risk and I
threw myself in the deep end. I had
one client then, now I have 260
people on the books.''

Shortland Street. I came from a
modelling background because at
the time they couldn't find any Poly-
This opportunity led her down an
acting career path that spanned 15
years and included roles in Xena,
Street Legal and Whale Rider.
These days Mrs Stowers sees her-
self acting as a personal manager
helping actors reach their own goals
and aspirations but it's been a natu-
It's all I've ever done. As an actor
myself, I know how to walk the talk
and I want to help others become as
successful as I was.''
She says the aspect she enjoys
most about her work is watching
people grow and develop and
become successful in an industry
I'm so thankful to be doing this.
It's about doing what you love and
having confidence and belief in
yourself. If you've got the aptitude
then we've got good people to take
care of you.''
